	London hosts an outstanding collection of world class museums, and is the only city among the major cities in the world where the majority of the museums have no entrance fee, thus enabling visitors to make multiple visits. Among the museums and galleries that are free are Tate Modern, Tate Britain, British Museum, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and most museums in Greenwich. Note that admission to many temporary exhibitions is not free, and that it can be vise to book an entrance time in advance, if possible.
