Among other museums are: The Museum of London, one of the largest urban history museums in the world. Visitors to the museum can walk through the story of the city, from prehistoric time to the global city of today. London Transport Museum, where you can see how Londoners get around their city, from horse drawn carriages to the famous red buses. The National Maritime Museum tells the story of Britain's adventures at sea with features on voyages of exploration, liners, historic events and environmental issues. Bank of England Museum where you can see gold bars from ancient times to the modern market bar, Roman pottery, mosaics, coins and a unique collection of bank notes. Wimbeldon Lawn Tennis Museum with treasures from the first Championship in 1877 to the most recent are on display including equipment and outfits from some of the greatest players to set foot on Center Court.

Among Galleries worth mentioning are: Whitechapel Art Gallery, London's most prestigious independent gallery and has been a cutting-edge of art for one hundred years. Wallace Collection, is both a national museum and the finest private art collection ever assembled by one family. The Quen's Gallery, situated adjacent to Buckingham Palace, hosts a program of changing exhibitions of magnificent works of art from the Royal Collection. South London Gallery has an international reputation for its challenging program of contemporary art exhibitions, live art and off-site projects. Dulwich Picture Gallery opened in 1814 and is the oldest public gallery in Britain. The gallery has an excellent permanent collection. The Courtauld Gallery has one of the most important collections in the country. The main attractions include masterpieces by Manet, Renoir, Monet, Degas, Cézanne, Gaugin and Toulouse-Lautrec.
